FLASHBACK- POV None
"I promise, baby doll," Faith said, rolling over off of Buffy.
Buffy took the time to roll onto her side and look up at Faith, "You're sure."
Faith closed her eyes. I am such a sucker, she thought. "Yes, I'm sure."
"Good, we can go tonight." Buffy said, getting up.
"Hey wait, where are you going," Faith said rising as well. She pulled Buffy by the arm, "Come back here." She nuzzled her face into Buffy's stomach. Kissing her navel. "We're not finished, are we?"
Buffy moaned a bit above her, running her fingers through Faith's hair, "I've got to get ready Faith."
Now it was Faith's turn to moan, "Ready? Why do you have to get ready? We are just going shopping. And just for one thing. A bathing suit. Remember? One thing. It shouldn't take fifteen minutes, and then we can come back here and get back to…"
"Faith," Buffy asked, pulling away, and taking Faith's head between her hands. "Do you think about anything except sex?"
Faith pulled her back and quickly licked a trail from navel to breast. She sat up, throwing her legs over the side of the bed and pulled Buffy down on her lap. "How" Lick "Can" Lick "I" Lick "Think" Lick "of" Lick "anything" Lick "else. You are so hot B?" She ground the increasingly wet slayer down onto her knees. "So hot. I think about fucking you all day long." She put both her hands on Buffy's ass, as the smaller girl moved her arms around her back. She put her mouth to Buffy's ear, still grinding, pressing her knees into Buffy's slick crotch. "I want to fuck you with my strap-on," she licked Buffy's ear. "I wanna see the cock sliding in and out of you," She felt Buffy moan and wriggle on her lap. She laughed a little. "You want that B?"
Buffy's thoughts were quickly becoming incoherent as Faith rubbed her expertly against her leg. She found the fortitude to bite Faith's neck slightly. The dark-haired girl moaned. "I want you to fuck my pussy, Faithie."
Faith rose suddenly, and threw Buffy on the bed. She moved to the bedside drawer, throwing everything aside. Her forehead was scrunched, as she shifted things around in the drawer. "God, I'm gonna fuck you." She said to the room, as she continued to search.
Buffy lay on the bed moaning slightly. Faith looked over and saw her hand running up and down her slit. "Fuck B." Faith groaned, forgetting what she was doing.
Buffy motioned to the other drawer, on her side of the bed. "Look in there sweetie." She panted, "Hurry. I wanna come with you inside me."
Faith was breathing so hard she couldn't quite hear. She stopped what she was doing though when she heard the knock again. "Go away."
"Buffy, I need to talk to you." Angel. He was starting to piss Faith off.
"Go away, broody boy," Faith growled.
"Buffy," Angel pleaded outside the door, "Seriously. This is important. I wouldn't interrupt yours and Faith's…you know." Angel, hesitated.
"Oh, just say it," they heard Cordelia say. "Fucking. He doesn't want to interrupt your fucking." They heard her smack him on the arm, "He's such a wuss. But whatever. Faith get your hand or your mouth or whatever it is out of Buffy's pussy and let her up. We gotta talk to her."
Faith forgot she was naked as she stalked over to the door. She was gonna kick a couple of pair of asses. She stopped when she felt Buffy's hand on hers. "Give me two minutes," Buffy called out to the door.
Faith turned around to see Buffy standing in front of her. "B?" She uncharacteristically whined.
Buffy reached up and brushed a piece of hair out of Faith's face. Then she pulled her to her. "I'll tell you what. After we get my bathing suit tonight, how bout you and me go to that other shop you like," Faith's face twisted in question, and then lit up a bit when she realized what Buffy was talking about. "We can get a new cock," Buffy said, thrusting her pussy unexpectedly onto Faith's leg, "I'm thinking something a little bigger?"
Faith grabbed Buffy's ass and moaned, sliding her pussy up and down her leg. "Really?" She asked, her eyes going wide.
Buffy closed her eyes and nodded, pumping as hard as she could on Faith's knee. Faith turned them around and pressed Buffy into the door, her back to Faith. She shoved her knee into Buffy's crotch. "Oh god, Faith, right there," Buffy pressed down as hard as she could, as Faith grabbed her hips, burying her face into Buffy's neck.
"Fuck B, come on my knee." She said, pumping her leg into Buffy. "Come for me." Buffy's moans were getting loud.
"Buffy?" Angel asked, still outside.
"Ummph," Buffy strangled out, as Faith put her hand over her mouth.
"All cool, big guy," Faith said, one hand still on Buffy's hip. She slid her fingers around to her ass, feeling for the puckered hole. She put her forehead against Buffy's back. She slipped her finger in quickly, feeling Buffy's breath hitch as she felt the intruding digit go in.
Buffy bit Faith's hand, causing her to pull away, "Fuck Faith," she breathed, wiggling her ass against the finger. "Harder."
"You like that, B?"
"How nasty do you feel with my finger in your ass and half the hotel outside the door listening?"
"Oh fuck…fuck…" Buffy was moaning now.
Faith moved her other hand to Buffy's ass holding her as hard as she could. She began shoving her knee into Buffy's pussy as hard as she can, and quickly added another finger.
"Godddddddddddddd," Buffy screamed out.
Faith could feel her coming with the fingers in her ass. Could feel the spasms from her other wall, pulsing her ass muscles. She couldn't stop pumping the fingers in and out, as she leaned back, watching Buffy grind against her knee.
"When we get back, I'm sticking my tongue in your ass. Then I'm gonna fuck with the strap-on. I'm gonna fuck you until you faint. You'll beg me to stay there forever."
"Fuck Faith, fuck, I …love…you," Buffy breathed, still riding the wave of her orgasm. She slowed her movements down as she felt the trembles subside. Still trying to get some pleasure out of the orgasm, she rubbed her pussy back and forth on Faith's leg.
Faith pulled her fingers out of Buffy slowly, causing the smaller girl to moan. "Fuck, B. I wish I could walk around with my fingers inside you," she said, letting the girl slide down the wall, and then catching her at the last minute. She turned her around and crushed their mouths together, loving the taste of Buffy.
She pulled away, putting her forehead against Buffy's again. "I love you." She smiled at the younger girl, "You have no idea how much."
Buffy kissed the other girl on the cheek. "Of course I do Faith," she said, pulling away.
Faith waited for her to take a shower and then watched her get dressed. She stayed on the bed the whole time, following Buffy around the room with her eyes.
Buffy walked up to her, "When I get back, you better be ready. You and me are going shopping." She said smacking Faith on the ass.
"Yes mam," Faith said, hopping up. She grabbed Buffy's arm as she left, slowly letting her fingers draw down the length of it. Buffy smiled at her, as Faith held onto her hands.
"Gotta let me go," Buffy giggled.
Faith pulled her to her one more time, "I love you." She said again. She didn't know why, but she just felt the need to make sure B knew.
Buffy smiled and kissed the palm of Faith's hand, "I know." She backed out of the room, still staring at Faith. "Faith?" She asked, as she got to the door, "Is everything okay?"
Faith nodded, "Right as rain B," she said and turned to go into the bathroom.
That was the day it had all changed. Things had started sliding downhill after that, and fast. Had Faith known when Buffy left their room, she would never fully come back, she would have never let her go.
PRESENT DAY- Buffy's POV
I took a quick inventory of the room. Angel and Xander were playing pool against Cordelia and Monica. I'm not sure but I think the girls were kicking their ass. Xander was whining, "It's not fair that I have only one eye."
"You are such a sore loser," Cordelia said.
Wills and Dawn were watching some show on the history channel and Andrew was holding the punching bag for Kennedy, "Oww. Oww. Oww."
Giles had not made it back from London yet.
I saw the weapons cabinet on the other side of the room. I figured I could get over there before they saw me. All I really had to worry about was Mon and Ken and they weren't paying attention.
I started over to the cabinet, "Where ya going Buffy?" Angel asked, grabbing my arm.
Fuck. And Angel. Forgot about his super strength. "Nowhere."
He looked at me funny, "Where's Annie? And Faith?"
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. "Annie's showing Faith her room."
"Fuck Buffy, is that wise?" Xander asked.
"I agree with one-eye." Cordelia said, effectively dodging Xander's hand, "Is it a good idea to leave Faith alone with her?"
"That is why I'm getting a weapon. I'm thinking something large and sharp."
"That didn't work the first time," Dawn said. Fuck off baby sis.
Monica walked up to me. She ran her fingers through my hair. "Are you ok, baby?"
I relaxed a little under her touch. She pulled me to her and I laid my head against her neck. "I guess so. Faith just gets me so worked up. Why does she think she can just waltz back in here after five years and have her way with me."
She pulled away from me and looked me in the eye, "I mean with Annie. I mean, you know, be in Annie's life."
Willow cleared here throat as Monica let go of me. I grabbed her hand and slipped it into mine. "Well, she is her daughter Buffy," Willow said.
I tensed. Monica pulled me to her again. I laid my head on her shoulder. "I know Wills, I just… I didn't expect it to happen like this. And that's the other thing. Faith just took it on, well faith, that Annie was her daughter. No questions. No 'how the fuck did that happen?' Nothing."
I sat down on the stool next to my girlfriend. "How did you expect it to happen?" Kennedy asked, "Faith would believe anything you say." She looked quickly to Monica, "And plus, Jesus, they look just alike. I mean it's really really obvious."
I shrugged my shoulders, " I know, I know. If I had my way it would have never happened at all." I looked around the room, waving my arm, "I'm happy here. We're all happy here. Why can't we just leave it at that?"
Cordelia spoke first, "Seems to me you are not going to get your way this time."
"Thanks Cordelia, you are ever so fucking helpful."
"Hey Buffy, I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking," Cordelia started.
Willow spoke up, "except me."
Cordelia rolled her eyes, "Except her. You knew this was going to happen. This is Faith we are talking about. Psycho, 'I'm crazy in love with Buffy' Faith. I mean it's not like Faith could stay away from you. Truth be told, I'm surprised she stayed away as long as she did."
I felt Monica wince beside me, even as I heard the others murmur in agreement, "So I think," Cordelia continued, "that you should just deal with it. The best way to do that is probably not to kill her with a big axe. I'm just saying."
Dawn spoke up, "You should probably go up there and check on them. Make sure Faith hasn't made off with her at least." She was smiling, but I felt my stomach drop.
Monica must have sensed it. "She's just joking," she said, nuzzling in my hair. She pulled back suddenly. Oh fuck she could smell her. She just looked at me. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. She could…what was I going to do?
She backed away from me. I looked around the room quickly. No one else had noticed, except Kennedy. She and Ken were best friends. And she could sense when Monica was upset.
Kennedy opened her mouth to say something, but Monica held up her hand. "It's okay," she said. Fuck. She's pissed. Fuck.
Kennedy backed off.
"What's okay?" I heard Faith's gravelly voice ask behind me.
"What's okay?" I asked Farrah Fawcett.
We had a staring contest. She looked almost like she could care less. But I could feel her, and that wasn't what she was thinking. She held my gaze, though. And everyone else in the room held their breath. Annie was sitting on my shoulders, swinging her legs.
"What's everybody staring at?" She asked. I broke my gaze.
When she didn't answer me, I turned to survey the room. Cordelia and Angel were standing on one side of the pool table; Angel was semi-smiling, while Cordelia looked like she could beat me over the head with the pool stick. I smirked at her.
Xander was trying his best to be intimidating, and failing miserably. "What's up Xand?"
"Faith," he said, and moved around to shake my hand. I took one arm off of Annie's knee, and shook it back. "Good to see you," he managed to sound convincing.
Andrew was hiding behind Kennedy, who was not smiling at me at all. "Hey Ken," I tried.
"Faith," she spat out. Ouch. Ok, find out what I did to her.
I turned to see Willow and Dawn on the couch. Both sets of eyes watching me. Dawn was smiling, Wills wasn't. "Red. Dawn. How's it been?"
Dawn continued to smile, "Pretty good Faith. How bout you?"
"Can't complain," I lied.
Red, on the other hand, launched into a verbal attack, "Good of you to drop by five years later Faith. God we've missed you." I started to retort, but she held up her hand, "You should take her off your shoulders. That's dangerous." I don't know why, but I obeyed.
"Hey," Annie said, "That was fun."
Red spoke up again, "And dangerous. It's not good to ride on someone's shoulders, Ann. What if she dropped you?"
Annie nodded, "Ok Wills."
What the fuck? When did Willow get to be the boss? I started to tell her where she could stick it, when Buffy intervened, "Hungry, Annie?"
She smiled up at her mother. "Yeah."
Cordelia broke the silence, "Me too. Come on let's go in the kitchen," and she took Annnie's hand.
Angel and Andrew followed them. Ok, now the rest of you can leave.
I heard Annie from the hallway. "Hey Angel, if you got blood from a girl named Mary. Would it be called a bloody Mary? Cause that's what Mommy said she wanted to drink and I didn't think anyone here but you drank blood. Cause you know, it is sort of gross."
I heard Angel reply, but I wasn't exactly listening. Buffy had moved a little closer to her girlfriend and the movement caught my eye.
"Here's your drink, Faith," I turned to look at the girlfriend. She was hot, I'll give you that. Leggy. Probably five eight or five nine. Nice body, and thick blond wavy hair. The only thing about her I didn't like was her hand wrapped ever so firmly around B's waist. She was pulling her closer without even realizing it. I bit my tongue. You may be a slayer, but I could still kick your ass, I wanted to say. Instead, I just smiled and took the drink. I couldn't help but drag my finger across her hand as I took it.
She jerked back instinctively, eyeing me. Buffy spoke. "Do you have a place to stay?"
Blondie turned around suddenly. Jealous, bitch? "Hadn't thought that far ahead, B."
She looked like she was trying to smile. She grabbed the girlfriend's hand and walked in front of her. "You can stay here. There is plenty of room."
There were about three throat clearings then. I looked to the others. Kennedy and Willow looked murderous. Dawn was smiling. "I'm hungry. Anyone else?" No one else moved. "Slayers," she mumbled walking out of the room.
I moved passed B and her fling and sat down at the bar. I turned to look at them. "So Mica, where are you from?"
"Monica," she said.
Kennedy scooted closer to me. "Her name is Monica." She growled.
I turned to her quickly. I could tell she was a little surprised. I'd given no indication that I even knew she was there. "You gotta fuckin problem, Ken?"
She got closer, if that was possible. Ok, this is obviously encroaching on my personal space. "Yeah, Faith. I gotta problem. You gonna do something about it?"
I stood up and sat my drink down, "Well I could. But I'm not sure why I should bother. I don't recall doing anything to piss you off." I turned away from her. A bold move, I know, "but hey, I've pissed a lot of people off in my time. So who knows?"
"Back off Kennedy," I heard Red say.
I smiled at her. "Good idea Red, don't want to get your honey hurt."
Kennedy launched at me, but I backed away quickly. She ran into the bar and came up swinging. I dodged her first punch and went to hit her back when B grabbed me around the waist. "Nope. No fighting in here."
I thrust back into her. Just a small movement. But one she couldn't ignore. "You're the boss, B."
She let go of me quickly, "Red's…um I mean, Willow's right. Back off Kennedy." Buffy stammered.
Kennedy rolled her eyes and went to stand by Mica. Oh, I get it, they're friends. I smiled an understanding at Ken, rolling my eyes.
Buffy's chick came up and stood behind her. Damn she was tall. She made B look like a little shrimp. And she was mad. So the chickie can get mad?
Everyone was staring at me. Not that I cared. I sat back down on my stool and grabbed my drink. I twirled around in the seat and looked at them. "So what are we gonna do about all of this?" I asked.
FLASHBACK- POV None
Buffy followed Angel into his office. Cordelia was standing behind his desk.
She saw Cordelia smirk and rolled her eyes. Angel spoke. "Sit down, Buffy." His voice sounded strained.
"Why are you acting like that?" She didn't take the offered chair, "What's wrong?"
She watched Angel's face. He wasn't giving away anything until she sat. "Ugh, fine." She sat down. "Now, what is it?"
Angel cleared his throat. "Well Buffy, we got a phone call today…"He said. He stopped for a moment and cleared his throat again, "The thing is, it was for you. It was more of a message really…I don't know how to say this…Truth is I can't figure out …" He took a deep breath, "It just doesn't make any sense…"
Buffy was sitting in the chair looking up at him. "What?" She asked, getting a little more than exasperated.
Angel hemmed a bit more.
"Oh for god's sake," Cordelia said, "Buffy, you're OB/GYN called. You're pregnant." She threw her hands up in the air, "Congratulations." She looked at the seated girl, whose color was quickly draining from her face, "Now to Angel's question. Who the fuck have you been sleeping with besides Faith?"
No one could say that Cordy minced words.
Buffy didn't speak for a moment. "What?" She finally whispered out.
Angel held up his hand to keep Cordy from going into the diatribe again. "No Buffy, she's right. Listen to the message."
*Miss Summers this is Andrea from Dr. Walter's office. We got your test results back. Nothing to be alarmed about – You're pregnant. Congratulations. By our calculations you are around eight weeks. That's pretty far along without being treated. So come by in the morning and we will work you in. The doctor has some things to go over with you. Congratulations again, Buffy. See you tomorrow. *
Angel spoke up again. "We thought she was talking to Dawn, until she said your name."
He waited for her to say something. "No. I was the one who went to the doctor today. I just gave them this number. I never thought. I mean, I never imagined…well, I couldn't have guessed…they've got to be wrong."
But as she said the words, she knew they were right. She couldn't figure it out, but she knew. It explained everything from the sore breasts and missed periods to the slight swelling around her navel. And here I thought I was just overeating, she mused.
Cordelia spoke, as if reading her mind, "I thought you were putting on a little weight."
Angel looked at her, as if to say not helping. He turned to Buffy, "How?"
Buffy stood up, "I have no fucking idea." She started pacing the room, "Unless Faith has a secret she isn't telling me."
"Well if she does," Cordelia declared, "than you will officially be the densest person I know." Buffy shot her a look, "I mean we all know Faith is good," Another look. "Hey," Cordelia smirked, "the people on the next block know Faith is good. 'Oh god Faith. Right there Faith. Harder Faith.' Jesus Buffy, Giles and Dawn are scarred for life. Not to mention what you've done to Andrew."
Angel cleared his throat, "Cordy," he warned.
"I'm just saying. Faith is good, but is she that good, Buff?"
Any other time and Buffy would have tried to kick her ass. At the moment though she was lost in her own thoughts. How the hell did this happen? And what was she going to do?
Faith had taken longer than anticipated in the shower. Needless to say, it had been a cold one. When she got back into the room, Buffy was sitting on the bed.
She ran the towel through her hair, and walked to their dresser. "What's up, B?" She asked the girl.
Buffy, though, had barely acknowledged Faith. She had gone to the room; intent on telling her what was going on. She needed help. They needed to figure out what was happening.
Problem was how was she going to tell her.
Faith crossed the room and crouched down in front of her. Smiling up at her. Running her hands up and down her legs. "Everything okay, baby?" She'd asked.
Buffy couldn't do it. She couldn't tell her. She had to figure this out first. How would Faith believe she hadn't cheated on her? Cordy and Angel thought she was lying. It did, in fact, defy all the laws of biology. Didn't change the fact that she had no reasonable explanation for it. At least she had talked the two of them into being quiet about it.
She ran her hand through Faith's hair, "Yep," she said, standing up, "Now get ready. We're going out."
I could feel how angry Monica was. How much angrier she had gotten since Faith and Annie come back down the stairs. I tried to smile at her, grabbing her hand in mine. She pulled away, until she noticed Faith eyeing her. Then she grabbed my hand back.
No one said anything for a few minutes. Faith's question of what we were going to do still hanging on the air.
"I'm from Miami," Monica said, looking at Faith.
Faith smiled at her. "What brings you to LA, then?"
Are they actually going to have a conversation?
Monica smiled as well. "Buffy." She stopped for a moment and put her arm around me. "Well, not originally. I was vacationing here. Got the itch for a little vamp activity and ran into B here in a cemetery," I saw Faith flinch. I couldn't help it though, she hadn't coined the phrase. Well, okay she had. But Monica didn't know that, "We got a little beat up. Those were some mean ass vamps. Anyway, Buffy invited me back here to clean up a little before I went back to my hotel. Guess I really never left." She had a glass in her other hand. She took a drink. She pulled me to her, even closer. I watched Faith for any change. It was subtle but I could see it. I was betting Monica could too. "I don't know how anyone could leave her. Annie just sort of sealed the deal for me." She bent down and kissed me on the cheek.
Faith released a breath she was holding. "So, you're the noble lesbian. Swooping in and saving the day. Keeping B from being a single mom and all."
Monica lost her smile. "I don't think that was noble of me. I just fell in love. With both of them. As for the lesbian part., well, I was that before I met her." She moved closer to Faith. Clenching and unclenching her fists.
Faith mirrored her movements.
Kennedy cleared her throat, "Well, as cute as this little pissing contest is, why don't you put your dicks away girls and we can talk about this rationally?"
Faith glared at her, before turning back to Monica. She spoke to Kennedy, while holding my girlfriend's gaze. "I don't know what this has to do with you, Ken?" She gestured towards Monica, "As for blondie here. I think we can settle this a different way. Seems like she's itching to get something started. And I'm itching to finish it."
I shook my head, waking up from the shock I was under. I stood between them quickly. Kennedy made her way to stand beside Monica. I looked to Willow for help.
Willow sighed, "Everyone just needs to calm down for a moment." She grabbed Ken's arm, "And you can put yours away too." Kennedy relented and went to stand beside her girlfriend. Good move on her part. Willow looked at me, "Buff, don't you think you should explain some things to Faith?"
Faith looked a little surprised at Will's question, but quickly hid it. "Yeah, B. What the fuck are you doing with her?"
Willow sighed again, "Um, no. I mean about Annie."
Faith nodded, "oh, yeah. Right. How did that happen B?"
She put her hands on her hips. I copied her movement. "How did it happen that you left Faith? I don't recall you explaining that. How could you do that to me?"
Faith got closer to me, "that's not the issue here."
I could feel myself getting angrier. I stepped closer as well, "the fuck it's not."
I heard Monica sigh. I turned to look at her. Fuck. What the hell is wrong with me tonight? "I would think that that wasn't the issue Buffy," she said, turning away from me.
I turned my back on Faith, and walked up, putting my arms around Monica's waist. "Oh baby, it's not. I'm just tired. You know I didn't mean it the way it sounded." I felt her shoulders deflate a bit. Still she leaned back into my embrace.
I heard Faith scoff behind me, "Wow, B. How pussy whipped is this one? Believing that shit."
I tensed when Monica coiled. Then she threw me off of her. "You want to fight Faith, is that it?"
Faith cracked her knuckles, "Fuck yeah, bitch. You've been asking for an ass kicking since I walked in."
I tried to catch Monica but she pushed me off of her. She threw Kennedy away as well. Not that Kennedy was actually trying to stop her. "Bring it on, grandma." Yeah, Monica was probably four years younger than Faith, at least. I know, I know, I was robbing the cradle, again. But Willow did it. Focus Buffy.
Monica swung at Faith. I knew she didn't have a chance. Faith had years, skill and speed on her. She caught her fist easily and kicked her feet out from under her. As soon as Monica hit the ground, Faith pounced. I could feel her anger though, and in a situation like that, Faith lets anger get the best of her. She becomes careless. Monica saw the chance and took it, swinging with her left hand, which was still free. She caught Faith across the jaw.
The next thing I know everything became a blur as they began trading punches, rolling around on the floor. Apparently Kennedy got some sense knocked into her by Willow cause she jumped in trying to pull them apart. I grabbed one and she grabbed the other. When we came up, I had Faith and she had Monica.
"Let me go, Ken." Monica's eye was already starting to swell. Faith had pulled her hair out of the ponytail she had tied it in earlier.
Faith was struggling against me for a moment, breathing so hard I thought she was going to faint. I kept my arm around her waist even as she bent over to catch her breath. The back of her shirt was ripped a little, but other than that Faith looked a hell of alot better than my girlfriend.
Both of the girls had stilled in our arms. Monica was watching us, Kennedy's arms still around her.
Faith turned around quickly, pushing her arm around my waist. "Sorry B," she said, loud enough for the others to hear. She kissed me on my cheek and pulled away.
Monica growled, and Kennedy held her tighter. Faith turned around and smiled at her, walking out of the room.
For my part, all I could do was hold my hand to my cheek. I heard Willow sigh, "For god's sake," she said, rolling her eyes.
I walked into the kitchen, straightening my shirt. Fuck these people. Fuck this house. Fuck everyone here. Fucking blond Amazon. I should go back in there and kick her ass. I took a deep breath. Fuck that, I'm leaving.
"Hey Faith," I felt Annie tugging on my shirt.
I looked down at my girl. She was smiling at me. "Hey baby doll."
Fuck them. I'm not going anywhere. Let them try to remove me from this house.
"Are you hungry?" She asked. "Cordy and I made peanut butter cookies."
"Are you sure Cordy isn't going try to poison me?"
She slapped me on the arm as I picked her up, "No, silly. Cordy said you were cool." I quirked an eyebrow at her, and she giggled. "She did. She said 'Faith was always way cooler than your Mommy.' It makes Mommy really mad when she says that."
"I bet," I said. "Your mommy never liked the fact that I was cooler than her."
"Cordy said it was because you could wear leather pants. She said Mommy had some too, but you were the only one who would wear them even in scorching heat. And you could run in them. She said Mommy looked silly running in them."
This kid was too much. "Cordy tells you a lot doesn't she?"
She nodded, "Cordy is the smartest person I know."
"Yeah. That's what she told me anyway."
"Annie?" We both turned towards Buffy's voice. Annie hopped down and pulled me back into the game room. I tried to pull her back. I wasn't a complete heel. I didn't want her to see Monica.
Monica wasn't in there when we rounded the corner, "What Mommy?"
"I'm going slaying. Do you wanna go?"
Annie jumped up and down. "Yeah. Is Monica going?" Buffy shook her head. "Can Faith go?"
"Yeah," Buffy said. She looked at me, "I was going to ask you."
What the fuck? "What the fuck?"
Buffy looked at me, "Faith, mouth."
"Sorry, B. But what the fuck?"
Buffy sighed. It was the first time that I noticed no one was in here but her. "Faith, I know it sounds weird. But I need to explain. Unfortunately, it's my night to patrol."
I looked at her. She was incredulous sometimes, "Aren't there more than a couple of slayers in LA? I mean, couldn't you take a night off or something?"
Buffy smiled. God it was good to see that. "Yeah I could. But I think it would be easier to explain if we went slaying."
"Yeah, Faith," Buffy said grabbing my hand, "You, me and Anna."
I shook her hand away, "One big happy family," I said, smiling sarcastically at her. Still unable to believe the kid got to go slaying.
Apparently the sarcasm was lost on the kid. "Is that why you're staying? So we can be a family?" She asked, looking up at me.
I began to speak, couldn't think of anything to say, and thought best to just smile at her.
B saved me, "Of course, baby," she said, rubbing Annie's head, "Right Faith?"
I smiled at her. Rubbing Annie's head as well. Is this what I wanted? Did I actually have anything else? Would I want anything else? I winked at B, "right B." Annie squealed. "Let's go slay."
Now if we could just get out of this building without running into anyone. Which I realized, was near fucking impossible. "Where are you going?" Fuck Kennedy, you might want to stay out of my business.
"We are going to slay." Buffy answered.
"Is that a good idea Buff? Your girlfriend is up there with a black eye. And you are going slaying with the person who gave it to her?"
Annie looked up at her mother, "What's wrong with Monnie?"
Buffy shot Kennedy a go to hell look, "It's my turn."
Kennedy stared at Buffy like she had three heads. "Are you serious? What do you mean it's your turn? Jesus Buffy, I'll go. You need to check on your girlfriend," She looked over to me for a fleeting second, "unless that isn't important to you?"
Buffy let go of Annie's hand. "You're right. Go ahead Kennedy. We can go tomorrow night." She headed up the stairs.
"Is Monnie okay?" Annie asked. She seemed really concerned.
Kennedy smiled at her, "Yeah. She just found the bad end of Faith's fist."
Buffy stopped in her tracks, half way up the stairs. Annie gasped. "You didn't hit her, did you?" Annie asked me.
"She hit me first," Lame I know, but she was just five.
Annie put her little hand over mouth and ran up the stairs. I could hear her calling out to Monica, asking if she was ok. Buffy stayed put. With good reason.
I stalked over to Kennedy and grabbed her by the arm. "What the fuck is your deal? You've been riding me since I got here. We used to be…well, we used to not hate each other. Now you look like you wanna do nothing but kill me. Which by the way I'm telling you one last time – Back off. You don't have a horse in this race, but you're about to get a beat down like you do."
She pulled out of my grasp and got in my face. "I'll tell you what my problem is. Buffy is happy. Annie is happy. And Monica is my friend. It's not easy infiltrating this group and we helped each other out. Makes life long buddies out of people. I don't like to see her upset, especially when I know there is no need for it. You shouldn't be here. They are doing just fine without you. You always were a day late and a dollar short. You don't have to be this time. Catch a fucking clue, and get the hell out."
Count to ten. Didn't work. Ok, count to one hundred. "You are so fucking close right now. I'm itching to get some real fighting in," I motioned up the stairs, "Your girl left a little to be desired. Want me to finish that ass whopping with you?"
Kennedy smirked, "Oh Faith. Faith. Faith," she shook her head back and forth, "I'd like to see you fucking try."
Buffy ran down the stairs at this point and grabbed my arms. Kennedy smiled at me. "Good to know she can still keep you under control," she said, rolling her eyes. "I'm going slaying."
I watched her go, wiggling in Buffy's grip. "Let. Me. Go. B."
She was holding me so tight I was afraid I would break a rib. "Not until you calm down."
"Well tell people to quit stirring up shit and maybe I would be calm." She let go, her arms a little softer around my chest. I took the chance to take a breath, but she still held on.
I turned, but she still held me. I looked down to the ground. "I'm sorry Faith," she said. Her admission surprised me.
I couldn't look at her. "Do you not want me here?"
I didn't look up. I couldn't. What if she said no. I was sure she was going to say no.
"Of course I want you here."
I looked up as she stepped away from me. Her eyes were on the ground now. "Why? Why are we doing this then? I want to be here. I want to get to know my…daughter. God that sounds funny on my lips. I've never had anyone like that. Anyone that could possibly love me, just for me. I feel like I could have that with Annie."
Buffy looked up through hooded lashes, "You had that with me." She looked like she was going to cry.
Don't cry B. Fuck, I'll fall down right here and ask for forgiveness. Just please don't cry. Too fucking late. "Don't cry B." I walked over to her, and put my arms around her. Goddamn, fuck if I'm going to regret this. "Look I'll try to be nice to Kennedy…and …the other one," I managed to get out.
She buried her face in my neck, sobbing into me. "I'm so sorry…I can't explain…I…do you know what it did…when you left…I thought….I thought I was going to die…" I pulled back to look at her, but she just buried her face deeper, "I felt like I was going to die. The further you got away from me, the more it hurt. It's like somewhere deep inside of me, I needed that hurt…cause I had let you go. I watched you leave…You were crying," she was sobbing now, "And I just watched. I could have told you, Faith. There was so much that would have made you stay. But you said…you said…you wanted to go."
Oh fuck, please stop crying. I'm such an ass. I rubbed her head with one hand, and pulled her to me as close as she could get with the other, "Fuck, B. I was a stupid ass. I knew you didn't want me to go. I was just trying to hurt you. I felt like you hurt me. We were both being pigheaded and stupid."
She sniffled a little, "I know," She said, looking up at me. "Sometimes we could be real dumbasses."
I smiled down at her, pulling her tighter to me, "Hey, how could I help it. You were always hot and naked around me. What's a girl supposed to do? Have cognitive thought? All I was thinking was 'Buffy hot.'"
She giggled and snuggled her head into my chest, "It feels so damn good just being here with you. Is that wrong?"
I smoothed her hair, "Does it feel wrong?"
She shook her head against me, "Nothing has felt this right in a long time." She sniffled again, "Earlier, when we kissed, I wanted to…Did you want to? I mean, did you feel like I did?"
I moaned as she began placing small butterfly kisses on my collarbone, "Did I want to fuck you right here in the hallway? Fuck yeah. Kinda feeling the same way now." I bent down and captured her lips. Did I mention that I missed that? The feel of her lips against mine.
She backed up suddenly, "We shouldn't be doing this."
I whined a little, stepping closer to her again, "Why?"
She lost her footing a bit, and grabbed my arm. I took the chance to pull her against the wall. "Because it's….wrong." I was biting her neck, "Fuck Faith,…we should….mmm…" I licked her ear, tugging it between my teeth. She put her hands against my arms, intent on pushing me away I guess, until I ran my arms around her back and crushed our mouths back together. Instead she pulled me to her. Raking her fingers through my hair. She leaned her body against the wall, allowing me to hold her up, as our kissing became more forceful.
The room was empty and big and you could hear the noises we were making. The wet sounds our mouths were creating. It was turning me on. She broke away again, trying to breath. I took the opportunity to pull her to me, even harder, and started kissing her neck again. Sucking every piece of skin that was exposed. She was pulling me to her, hands in my hair. "Faith…I want…Jesus….You just get me so worked up. I want you to," I stopped for a second and she stilled. I ground my hips against hers and she moaned, "Mmm."
We started up a rhythm that would have been indiscernible to the naked eye, but that felt so delicious to my pussy, I couldn't think of anything else.
We were kissing again. Our hips grinding into each other. I had her hands on either side of her head, pressed against the wall.
We should have known better.
"Oh my god," We heard a small gasp behind us. I put my head against the wall, between Buffy's shoulder and her arm.
"Monica?" Buffy questioned, looking towards the stairs.
Neither one of us moved. I had my eyes closed. I had let go of B's hand, but I was still holding her with my body. She put one hand on my waist. My forehead stayed firmly pressed against the wall, as if I just stayed there this bitch would go away. I could feel her looking up at Monica.
"What's going on?"
I had to bite my tongue. What the fuck do you think is going on Blondie? Now pack your shit and get out. I stayed quiet.
"Uhh…uhh…I can…" Buffy just sighed, but put her head on my shoulder. She rose up again and looked at her girlfriend, "Monica we need to talk," she whispered.
Oh! Hell yeah!
"Mommy what are you doing?" Buffy pushed me off of her as soon as she heard the voice.
I spun around quickly. Fuck!!!!!!! Why does this shit keep happening?
Annie ignored Buffy and came to stand by me. "Why are you being mean to Monica? What did she do to you?"
I had nothing to say. I stared at her for a moment, "I'm not being mean…well, it's complicated…your mommy and I," I looked over to B. She was not helping, just staring at Monica, "She and I…we…it's really complicated…I love her." I heard B gasp, "I always have."
Annie just looked at me. "Well she loves Monica. You are the one that left. Mommy didn't tell you to go."
"Annie please," Buffy tried, "You don't understand." She pulled at her.
"Leave me alone," Ann screamed, running out of the room.
Buffy looked up the stairs, "Monica?"
Monica looked back down, "Fuck you Buffy," she said, turning and walking back up.
Buffy turned to look at me. She looked as stunned as I felt. "We've got to figure something out here. This isn't right. Groping each other in the hall." I didn't say anything so she moved on, "I'm going to talk to Annie and then Mon. Why don't you go get your clothes and come back here in about an hour?"
I nodded, still not trusting my voice and made my way to the door.
"Faith," Buffy called out as I had opened it.
I turned around, and she ran back to me.
"Promise me you won't leave." She was shaking, and she wrapped her arms around my waist as tight as she could, "Please promise me." She was crying again.
I kissed her on the top of the head and squeezed her to me, "I love you B. I'm not going anywhere. I promise." I said, letting her go and walking out the door.
